I am a generalist game developer and hardcore gamer. I have been programming for over 9 years using various technologies in video game, mobile app, and virtual reality projects. I am very comfortable coding in C++, having strong knowledge of Unity3D as well as C#. In 2014, two colleagues and I developed Vida de Startup, an educational computer game, which was awarded in a Brazilian Game Contest among 83 projects.
I graduated in Video Game Development with honors in 2009, and I received my master's degree in Computer Science at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, one of the 5 best Computer Science universities in Brazil, in 2017. My fields of research were in computer graphics and computer vision.
In October 2016, I relocated to Vancouver in order to join IUGO Mobile Entertainment's team as Game Tools Developer. My first project within the company is in the big mobile hit, The Walking Dead: Road To Survival. I act as gameplay engineer specialist in the combat system.
As a generalist game programmer, I have been developing solutions for many disciplines and performed in several roles.
I implement the game rules and the player interaction in a flexible and scalable way, never forgetting about the fun factor.
From simple Finite State Machine to complex Neural Networks, I am completely able to make any game be challenging as much as playing with friends.
Either the desired presentation is a stylized cartoonish effect or a realistic physically based one, I am capable of delivering the most beautiful graphics.
In a dynamic environment such as the Game Industry, it is crucial that the content creation works as fast and painless as possible. Regarding that, I am always trying to be in the content creator shoes to offer the best integration approaches.
